A member asked:

I was told that i have low prolactin levels. what could happen because of it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Prolactin: A high prolactin can cause a number of problems. The assay that measured your prolactin likely has a lower range, but I am not sure that there would be much meaning or importance to a prolactin that is lower than the normal range. If your pituitary were damaged, and your prolactin stayed low, you may have trouble producing milk after pregnancy.
