A member asked:

I have pcos. my glucose tolerance test was perfect. my insulin level was so low it couldn't be found. i was told that's not good. why is that bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's not good: Or bad -- just a test that should have never been ordered since the test is meaningless in that situation and most labs can't do accurate Insulin levels to begin with. If you didn't have insulin, you would have lapsed into a coma from high glucose levels long ago. The diagnosis of pcos is not made by a GTT or Insulin levels.
