2-3 weeks.: Unless you have broken something, it will likely resolve in less than 3 wks. There is no way to hasten the recovery although you may try warm saline rinses a few times a day. It may not do any good but will not do any harm either.

Seek help asap: What kind of injury did you have? Did you have an x ray taken and an exam by a dentist? It is impossible to diagnose the lump on this forum. You should be seen immediately and make sure that the teeth, bone, and other vital structures are not damaged. www.drgums.com.
