Hi i have a raised bluish lump on my gum/ lip. lump is hard but not painful. feels like it could be a blood clot from accidental biting of gum. do i need to visit my gp to check it?

Lump: If there was a trauma to the mucosa and it heals within a week or so - assessment may not be required. If it is not healing or is just a component of a number of symptoms - then assessment could be warranted.

Agree with Dr. F: You may watch and wait but if the lesion does not resolve in a week or so, it would prudent to see your doctor or dentist.
