Try a splint.: Conservative treatments such as night splints and anti-inflammatories can help to ease the pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome. It is advisable, however, to seek the advice of an orthopaedic or hand surgeon to confirm the diagnosis and the severity of the condition.

Seek a consult: Meet with a physician to discuss the diagnosis, precipitating activities, workplace modifications, splints, medications, possible injections, and/or surgery.
