Should be minimal: Unless the benign breast lump is very large or the breast is very small, proper removal of a benign lump usually causes little deformity. In my experience, removing lesions from the upper, inner quadrant of the breast is more prone to some deformity but it should be minimal if performed by an experienced breast surgeon.
