What should you do once you have selfdiagnosed yourself with add/adhd?

Have someone help: Self diagnosis of this condition can be verified by a knowledgeable physician, psychiatrist or neurologist. The evaluation process will attempt to exclude other conditions that can produce similar symptoms. If confirmed, a plan of management can be formed.

Get evaluation: You should have a formal evalaution. Start with your primary care doctor. If nothing is found that may mimic aDHD symptoms get a neuropsychological evaluation. Adult ADD usually grows out of childhood ADD. If you did not have ADD as a child, have not had a brain injury or brain infection, it is unlikely you have ADD. There are many conditions that mimic symptoms of ADD.
