Depends where it is!: Surgeons can get additional training in cancer treatment. They are called surgical oncologists. There are breast cancer surgeons, GI cancer surgeons, orthopedic cancer surgeons, and neurologic cancer surgeons to name a few. You want a surgeon with expertise in the part of the body that has the tumor!
