Plural solitary tumor in right lung ..5.5 cm same size for 8 month ..surgeon told me will not fix my shortness of breath..is it ok to leave it?

Well, what is it?: That lesion may not be causing your shortness of breath, but what is it. Monitoring something like this for eight months may not be enough. Pleural-based lesions like this should be monitored for longer periods of time before we're assured (without a biopsy) that they're benign. 5.5cm is a pretty good size.
