Your symptoms don't?: Assuming the np is skilled and knows how to diagnose adhd, if the symptoms do not convince, perhaps you are not right about your condition. What is the DX they offer? Might you ask for a 2nd opinion? Try not to self-diagnose - that's the pro's job. You only need to provide solid true info and then follow treatment suggestions and report on them. Find a pro you trust.

Outside Consult: You need to be evaluated by an ADHD expert and then have the results sent to your NP. Bing, Bang, Boom, it is done and the NP can be the prescriber of the meds suggested by the ADHD expert. Do an internet search for ADHD / Psychologist / Psychologist in your area. Something will likely come up. Do not give up.
