Mild aftereffects: It mainly depends on who is doing the surgery, an experienced general dentist or oral ; maxillofacial surgeon. You will have some bleeding ( a few hours), swelling (for 3-5 days), and discomfort after the surgery which should be managed with a prescription for pain medication. Many also give antibiotics for a few days but that is quite variable. It shouldn't be too bad.
