Does it need it?: Does it need to be removed is the first question? If it can wait, then that is the best option. Otherwise, a procedure like this should be planned in tandem with your physician and the dentist, discussing indications and anesthesia methods. The risks are not that high, but still need to be less than the risk of waiting.
