It can vary: The preferred time to have wisdom teeth removed that are indicated for removal, is before the roots are fully developed. Growth and development varies widely, as does tooth development. An x-ray in which all of your teeth can be visualized should be performed to determine the position and development of your wisdom teeth in order to provide you with more information.

Between 16-22: Usually sometimes between 16 and 22 are the ideal times. However, some people might not need to have their wisdom teeth removed if their jaws are long enough to accommodate 32 teeth and as long as you brush and floss each tooth every day.
