Moniter ur h'rt rate: Certainly 2 miles are better then one. Also important is the pace. You want to walk briskly, no lolly gagging. The goal is to get your heart rate up to 50% higher then your resting heart rate, and keep it up while exercising. So if your resting HR is 70, you want to get your exercising HR up to 105 and sustain it while on your walk.
