Causes of a seizure: Sometimes we find the cause of a seizure, sometimes we do not. It is possible a seizure could be caused by a brain tumor or MS. But brain tumor is a rare diagnosis, and MS rarely causes seizures. It is a good idea to have the MRI done. That will help answer the question of what the cause of the seizure is, and it is within the standard of care.

Complex: Seizures are relatively uncommon in MS, as they occur in only 6-8% of pts, and brain tumors have no relationship to MS. Get your MRI completed and hopefully you will be reassured.
