My 34 year old son has had vertigo episodes spaced far apart since 2013. was in er for 1st attack. has had 3attacks in the last 2 months. saw ent who thinks bppv. he ordered blood work a vng and mri. im worried about a tumor or ms. thoughts please?

Vertigo is a common symptom with BPPV and as a side effect of some medications and even supplements like melatonin. I would be patient and let his doc sort it out. Going to dark places in your mind is not reasonable with this symptom. It sounds like his doc is being very thorough, and more so than many.

Understandable that parents will worry about their child, but based upon your post, it is unlikely that either MS or "a tumor" are underlying culprits. Not mentioned so far is Meniere's disease, which could cause patterns of vertigo, as mentioned. Certainly, your ENT is proceeding with a thorough evaluation, but you might discuss your concerns as you proceed.
