Why would my left rib cage in the bone by breast hurt. when i push on it , it hurts alot. can u tell me why or what it could be ?

Costochondritis: It is likely inflammation in the rib cartilage. It may start following a viral process wih excess cough. Nsaids are helpful. The symptoms go away in a few weeks , but can recur. If symtoms persist a bone scan is in order.
