How long does it take for amitriptyline side effects to go away? on only a 10mg dose for ibs-d and i'm always tired and have pretty bad body aches.

Are you taking it: At bedtime? Some people are very slow metabolizers of this drug and you may have a higher blood level than your doctor intended. Usually there is no sedation from 10mg, and, if anything it helps aches and pains. You may have something else going on. Have your doctor check an Amitriptyline blood level to see if it needs to be lowered. If that is the case i would follow up with a test for cyp4502d6.
