Either, really...: ...But i would suggest you go with the doctor you have the most trust in. It's not going to be an easy thing to do, so you might as well go into it with confidence in the one leading you.

Matter of experience: That would depend on each doctor's experience in addiction/withdrawal issues. Either one could handle a schedule for withdrawal if they have experience in this. But you will likely benefit from a supportive outpatient rehab arrangement in addition to a basic withdrawal schedule and medical monitoring. It is important to lower the dose slowly.
