A member asked:

Hi there. i have temporal lobe epilepsy, and when it was diagnosed, i was told that it can be treated by either a neurologist or a psychiatrist, as they are both qualified to do so. is that correct?

TLE: I am a psychiatrist. I believe that you may get benefit from working with a neurologist. Behavioral health aspects that aren't corrected with neurological treatment protocol may be addressed by a psychologist or a psychiatrist. Be well.
