A member asked:

My 8yr old son has a stye in lower eye. is a warm compress sufficient?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually will be: The compress should be moderately warm but not hot. Use it for 3-4 minutes at a time about about 5 times per day. This will usually do the trick. If it persists longer than a week, seek out a pediatric ophthalmologist for more definitive care.
