Several thoughts: Apparently it triggers an autoimmune rection that either attacks and destroys the platelets.Or bleeding is occurring internally which uses up the platelets faster than they are being produced. Your doctor or a specialist should help.

Hello, my son is 2 yr old, has a high level of LDH 355...low platelet count 190 low hemoglobin 10.8 and WBC 3.9 What could cause this? ??
Can not eating cause platelets to drop? I'm normally 120-150k, but wasn't feeling good & hadn't eaten much for a few days due to nausea- result 96k. I rarely dip lower than 110 range. My cbc/bmp was otherwise totally normal.
