Hello my son is 4 years old and hos platelet count on 12/ 1 was 527 and they just took it again a week ago and it was 679 was could that mean?

Platelet count: It is not normal to have an elevated platelet count especially at that age. Platelets may respond to inflammation and infections including viral infections. In the absence of other symptoms, this may be of no major concern. Nevertheless, I would recommend that the he be seen by the pediatrician and or a hematologist.
