Not typical: Most minor allergic reactions would not normally involve platelets. Anaphylaxis could possibly involve platelets, but typically I don't expect to see overall platelet counts on a CBC decrease after an event. I really don't know why. Perhaps someone working in a research lab might have an explanation for your experience.

Several thoughts: Apparently it triggers an autoimmune rection that either attacks and destroys the platelets.Or bleeding is occurring internally which uses up the platelets faster than they are being produced. Your doctor or a specialist should help.
