Dealing with irritated gums and mouth symptoms during chemotherapy, what to do?

Dr. Dinh Bui answered

Dried mucosa: During chemotherapy, your mouth will be dried and sloughing of mucosa may be expected. Keep yourself hydrate by drinking a lot of water and using Fluoride tray to prevent decay. A tray will enhance the bioavailability of Fluoride on the tooth surface for at least half an hour each day to provide proper ph buffering and prevent enamel demineralization.
