Perhaps: A horizontal overbite greater than 2mm or a vertical overbite deeper than 50% are indications that there are other problems. See an orthodontic specialist for an initial examination (often complimentary) to answer the question.

See an orthodontist: When you have your over-bite evaluated by an orthodontist specialist you will then know what procedure or dental appliance will be required to correct your problem Take care.
