Muscles: Likely still some inflammation in the muscles from the surgery. You can massage them carefully, soak them with mouthful of warm water inside followed by hot compresses outside. Can also take alleve or Ibuprofen to help with inflammation. Call your surgeon and report this and ask for special recommendations. Good luck.

Myositis: is an inflammation of muscle resulting from local cause. A common cause of myositis is inflammation from a local anesthetic injection or wisdom teeth extraction. Use moist heat 2-3 X per day and NSAID or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain control.
