Depends upon time : Depends upon how long ago you had your tooth extracted. It is normal to have stiffness, swelling and inability to open your mouth 24-48 hours after a wisdom tooth extraction...If it has been longer than two days please contact the dentist or oral surgeon who extracted your tooth.

Trismus: It can happen. Time, moist heat and jaw opening exercises can help.
