see dentist : Could be root piece remaining or just the sharp bony spicule..Your dentist can take xray and eval and treat the same..

Post-op: For post-surgical support you should return to the General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that did your surgery. May be localized, such as infected surgical site. May be systemic problem exacerbated by the surgery. May be totally unrelated. Go back to your treating surgeon, the practitioner that knows you best.
