Elbow to mouth: Trauma to your teeth after contact with an elbow can cause pain/discomfort. If the teeth start feeling better in a few days you should be ok if Motrin or tylenol (acetaminophen) do not take the pain away, you may have a fractured tooth or root. You could have luxated the tooth and a root canal may be needed. Visit your local dentist for an evaluation and x-ray to make sure all is ok.

NSAID or Tylenol (acetaminophen): Injuries to the teeth and mouth are common among athletes. OTC NSAIDs or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain control is very helpful. See your dentist after a few weeks for examination and x-rays. It's important to protect your smile while playing sports with a sport guard.
