Teeth can shift: This should be discussed with your treating dentist beforehand. If your teeth shift, the trays may not fit... That will result in the need for additional impressions, additional treatment time, and additional expense. Best to know how your dentist will handle to change in treatment.

Teeth may shift back: Not a ton over the 3 weeks, but they will shift, which may require you to go back to the previous set of aligners and where them again for a few weeks and lengthen your overall treatment. I would discuss the situation directly with your orthodontist.

Not recommended: Your treatment cannot work as set up if you do not commit to wearing your aligners as you are directed by your orthodontist or dentist..

Relapse: Teeth will shift, and not necessarily back exactly on the same track that they were straightened. It may require starting over.

Invisalign: If you do not wear your Invisalign for 3 weeks your teeth will move and the trays will not fit. You will need new impressions and new trays made at a cost to you. Why can't you wear thetraysforso long? Discuss your situation with your Invislifn provider.
