For how long ?: If the current tray no longer fits well, it may make a difference. Best to see your dentist, and bring in the prior two trays for evaluation.

Maybe: Depends how long. For one night, even 2, no big deal. For weeks, then yes, it will make a difference. If its been a long time, talk to your orthodontist. If it was a night or 2, don't worry.

Time dependent: The longer you go without, the greater the risk of relapse. Medicine doesn't work unless you take it. Don't wear your trays and your teeth may move to I programmed positions, requiring new impressions, new trays, longer time in treatment, and additional expense. Make sure to have your treating Dentist or (hopefully) qualified Orthodontist evaluate your status.

No worries: This will not have a great effect on your treatment, but do not make a habit of forgetting.
