Gums: Like healing sockets with a few sutures. Red with a clot in the center generally.

Wisdom tooth removal: Initially, you will feel some soreness and see some swelling and redness depending upon the difficulty of the extraction. Also expect some initial oozing of blood. If the teeth were completely impacted you will notice some sutures holding the gum flaps together. Otherwise there will be a socket filled with a blood clot. In approximately 2-4 weeks everything will look and feel normal again.
