Ask The Dr: My best advise is to ask the oral surgeon/doctor who will be performing hte proceedure. It will depend on many factors..Are the wisdom teeth impacted? Are they using local/general anesthesia?

Better to ask Dr.: You will be given at least local anesthesia to completely numb the area (+sweet air) or IV sedation. Some wisdom teeth are removed almost as easily as your other teeth. It will require exposure of the teeth & possible sectioning of the teeth to facilitate removal. You will be given instructions and medications if necessary. It's better to ask to find out as much or little as you want to know.

Oral surgeon: Have your procedure done by a board certified oral surgeon. Part of the consultation is complete information about the procedure. anesthesia, risks recover, etc.
