See dentist soon: Congratulation; you are now on a retention phase--an important finish and maintenance of orthodontic treatment! while it is common to still have some soreness, it is important to have it checked to ensure your retainers are fitting as they are supposed to. Make sure to have your dentist/orthodontist check them and get peace of mind also. Great job!

I had braces when I was 10. I am now 24. I got a new retainer 3 years ago but have not worn it in a year. Now when I wear it even for 30 minutes my teeth hurt. How often should I wear my retainer to get my teeth used to it again?
Does residual glue leftover from braces wear away on its own? Im going to get scaling done again and get new impressions for a new retainer, but lets say I leave this glue on my teeth, will my current retainer become loose if this glue wears away?
Without an insurance, how would it cost to get braces and retainer just on top part of the teeth!?
