See your doctor: A physician, or an ear/nose/throat specialist can look into your nose to determine if you have a deviated septum, polyps, or both. So see your doctor.

Septum/polyps: This can only be determined by physical examination. Be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist.

See a doctor: The best way to know if you have a deviated septum or polyps is to have a thorough head and neck examination by an ENT physician. If you have significant nasal obstruction it is worthwhile to have it checked out.
