Depends: on what the cause is. For vasomotor rhinitis, this will likely linger on for decades. For allergic rhinitis, avoidance of allergens and allergy shots may offer prolonged remission, for hyperplastic rhinitis, ultrasound reduction may be needed. The answer thus is "depends".
