Yes: They are usually quite accurate. But if it gives you constant error message it may have some malfunction issues.

Yes: Mostly the the BP apparatus are correct. I will not let it go as you may arrial fibrillation so please follow up with you pcp for an ekg and you need 24 hour holter to rule cardiac arrythmia.

Yes, if new: Yes, if new. I have one myself and even as a doctor keep track weekly. I often thought all people should do this. It would alert a lot of patients to problems earlier when things are more easily fixed.
