Yes - Thanks 4 givin: Putting on a tourniquet, squeezing the hand and putting in a needle can all lead to soreness. Also, not unusual for some bleeding (bruising) under the skin at the site. Important, though, to make sure there is not excessive swelling as that could require medical attention.
