A could of ideas.: I would certainly say that you have not provided enough information to come to a diagnosis. Given your age, i doubt that degenerative disease/arthritis is to blame. The most common issue that could cause some chronic symptoms that you have would be allergies with post-nasal drip which can cause some persistent sore throat. I might recommend seeing your primary care physician.
