Throat: Might be acid reflux if there no fever or thyroiditis but if its bad go to the er to check it out

Painful swallowing: How long have you had the Sx? do you have cough or hoarseness? Is it possible you had fish with bones preceeding the symptoms? Given you have no symptoms other than globus and dysphagia and the anterior neck is tender to touch, my working Dx is thyroid cartilage chondritis (not thyroid gland inflammation). You may try motrin for 2-3 days, if not better need exam by ENT. (don't need antibiotics)
