Pace yourself.: To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables ; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol ; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic ; weight lifting exercises.

Losing weight: Eliminate processed sugars and carbohydrates in favor of lean proteins, non-starchy veggies and high-fiber, low sugar fruits (berries, apples, etc). Eat healthy fats like omega 3-'s, olive oil, etc. Plenty of water (6-8 glasses per day). Get at least 7-8 hours' sleep a night! increasing exercise helps.Sprint or "burst" training is better than prolonged aerobics. Weight training is important too.
