No particular age: Most skin cancers are the result of sun / uv ray exposure. As a result they mostly occur in adults. However, skin cancers can also occur in children with certain genetic conditions such as xerederma pigmentosum.

Any age: Skin cancer can occur in any age. Skin cancer is caused by errors or mutations in the dna of skin cells. This then causes the cells to grow out of control leading to cancer. This can be from exposure to uv light from the sun or tanning beds or from exposure to toxic substances. There are also genetic diseases that can lead to skin cancer as well known as xeroderma pigmentosa.
