Unclear: Lighter skin types have a higher risk of skin cancer. However, it is also a factor of how much sun exposure you have had and the number of sunburns you have had in life.

Family History?: Your risk is based on family and personal history of skin cancers. Also being fair skinned and having red hair will raise your risk as well.

Many factors: Your skin type, heredity and exposure history all play a role in determining risk for developing skin cancers. Unprotected sun exposure is certainly the leading cause of developing skin cancers. Medications and exposure to certain chemicals can increase ones risk of developing skin cancers as well.
