There are many: Generally it is good to start with your primary care physician who may evaluate the signs and symptoms and determine if indeed it is sciatica or something more serious. The pcp may initiate medications and physical therapy. They may also start the imaging process with MRI scans. If there is a herniated disc or stenosis they may refer you to a spine specialist (orthopedic or neurosurgery).
