A member asked:

I still have pain in foot 2 weeks after tarsal tunnel and baxton nerve surgery, is that normal? was hoping to have relief by now. still am non weight bearing. does it normally take this long to heal from this type of surgery? ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Time to heal: You had a complex surgery but likely will improve over time. It takes 3-4 weeks for the myelin nerve covering to heal, and if there was axonal involvement, the speed or recovery is 0.1 mm/ day. Thus, give it some time and work closely with your doctor and consider a rehab program
