Neurologist: Need to determine the cause of hiccups. Several medications may help but this may be difficult to treat. See a neurologist though some patients may require gastrointestinal evaluation as well.

Full stomach: Hiccups are usually self limited and benign. However intractable hiccup can be a sign of serious intrabdöminal disease. See a gastroenterologist for evaluation.
