Stress/anxiety?: Eyelid twitching is usually due to benign reasons. Often, stress, anxiety, or fatigue are the culprits. Occasionally, it may be due to electrolyte imbalance.

Blepharospasms: Usually these are called blepharospasms that can affect the muscles around the eye and in the eyelid. They are like the muscle spasms you can get in the rest of the body. Usually they will go away by themselves with time and observation. If they become more frequent and/or impair your vision then you should see an ophthalmologist. There are treatments available in these more serious cases.
