Middle ear fluid: When there is a build up of fluid in the middle ear it's common to experience that. It can turn in to an infection but usually you just need to get the fluid to drain. The safest way to do that is to use a plain saline nose spray or netti pot. You could also try 3 -5 five days of using afrin (oxymetazoline) nose spray to open the eustachian tube to the ear.

Unilateral tinnitus: Not sure if your symptom is consistent with unilateral tinnitus. It is rare but when present then cerebral sinus venous thrombosis may present (gattringer et al 2012) another possiblity is an anatominal middle ear condition called dehiscense syndrome. A good start is to see an ENT physician for conditions requiring urgent attention. It may also suggest early hearing loss.
