Birth Control: Doesn't damage your thyroid. The estrogen in the birth control pill will stimulate an increase in the amount of thyroid binding globulin (TBG) your body makes, so you may require a slightly higher dose of levothyroxine to compensate for the increased tbg. A similar phenomenon occurs during pregnancy.
